We have two sea days before we get to India so I will cover both of them in this post plus some other items. I went to the lecture on Mumbai and it seems a bit scary so I am glad I have two tours which are meant to give me an overall look at the city and highlights.

I notice I have a new reader; my friend Kate who went as far as Cape Town. She was then going to visit a friend in Black Mamba country. Here is the question from B&B did you see any Black Mamba? So glad you are home safe and sound. Well safe, I am not too sure about how sound anyone is going to Black Mamba country.

It is amazing how you can get into a routine on a cruise but you do. It seems I do the same things everyday with a few exceptions and I have noticed that others do the same. I think this is why you do see the same people all the time and if you change your routine you see people you have never seen before and they have been on for the entire time.

Some time ago each person received an amaryllis bulb and look at it now. I have also received wine rings and a decorative vase. I have also won a bunch of HAL stuff such as a cap, water bottle, sweatshirt, bag and photo frame. I do not know how I am going to pack all this stuff but I do plan to get rid of some of it at the white elephant sale.

The royal ball was last night and this is one of the decorations at the entrance of the La Fontaine Restaurant. Did do a bit of dancing.

I just proofed this post and find it quite boring. Next post will cover Mumbai so stay tuned and I don’t think it will be boring.

  1. Judi ~ I love starting my day with your blog and love all your photos. Thinking back on our many voyages, I can't think of when you would have the TIME to write and include all the photos. It always seems like even the sea days are pretty filled so I can't imagine having the spare time to do all that you do.
I think you will love India! We have been to several cities and enjoy the contrasts, the people and their beautiful faces as well as the history and learning about a culture so different from ours.

  3. Not boring! The photo of the amaryllis and the white curtains says so much about your cruise. I await your next post. In Mumbai, look for Friends Enterprises and ask for George. They have a small shop in the terminal where the Tahitian Princess Docked last year. George took Jerry and me to his store in Mumbai because we were interested in seeing his carpets. We bought one and found the company wonderful to do business with. They also sell diamonds, jewelry, and other local treasures. They shipped the carpet, which arrived as they planned 3 days after we returned home but about a month after purchase. They folded it up into the smallest package and it looks spectacular in our house. George also got us a car and driver for the rest of the day for sightseeing.

  7. Hi, Judy --

Boring? Never. We are so enjoying your travels, even if we have to enjoy them vicariously. Do you have any really interesting passengers on the ship like the lady of the night on the QE2? Tell us more.

  8. Judi, I'm hanging on for every post. Service here at home is nowhere near as good as yours and boy do I miss Sandi and the coffee cart every morning. No I didn't see a live mamba but Sue saved the skin that one had shed in their yard and it was 5 ft long...big ugh. In spite of lovely climate and area I'll pass on living with poisonous reptiles and behind padlocked yards with the ever present guard dogs. Hope you enjoyed Mumbai.
