The last time I posted I was still waiting for THE PACKAGE and it came last Thursday. One of the topics in the package is how many formal nights and the various balls and special occasions. Now it is “drop dead” time. I must decide what to take. I have spent a couple of months gathering possibilities together. This is, of course, after I did some serious shopping.

I plan to ship two large cases and they must be ready by December 28th when Holland America has arranged for FED EX to pick them up and eventually drop them off at the port for delivery to my cabin. It will be nice not having to worry about these large bags.

In addition I am checking in two small bags and carrying one small bag with needed items for Florida. I suppose I will have to pay a $25 fee for one of the checked bags but one is free since I booked my flight before the change in the rules.

Even though I am a techno-dislexic I am learning how to transfer from camera to computer to my blog and the transfer of my text to my blog. It is slow but I am doing this post and the photos myself without assistance.

With the changing of the seasons as evidenced by the abundance of colorful foliage my excitement is building. On January 4, 2010 I leave for my second world cruise and on January 6 I board the good ship MS Amsterdam at the Port of Fort Lauderdale, Florida. Vaccinations are complete, applications for visas for China and India have been presented and now I am awaiting THE PACKAGE. This is the mailing from Holland America Line which presents the nitty gritty of the cruise with all the exciting events. For those who are interested you can view my itinerary at hollandamerica.com. During the cruise I will be posting photos and lively commentary from time to time. I hope you will check in and make comments.
