This is my last post. I have not been in the mood to post for the last week or so. I am 90% packed and will be leaving the ship around 9::30 tomorrow morning.
I was invited to a Q and A in Bart’s office (Chief Housekeeper) along with about 10 others. We were all holdovers from the world cruise. In addition to Bart, Jimmy the new cruise director was there and the tour lady who’s name escapes me and my papers are packed so I can’t look it up.
Most all the input was positive and I did find out that new coffee machines are slated for the Lido which should take care of my one complaint. The Lido coffee has been truly awful and since I eat such a small breakfast I don’t like to go to the dining room. Only the world cruise has free coffee at the exploration cafĂ©. Now all their coffees are charged to your account.
The only other complaint I had was that Nicaragua is not yet ready for cruise ships. Such a poor war racked country with little to offer. Mexico was so hot at both ports that I didn’t stay out too long in Cabo but did manage to have a cervesa at both ports. In Porto Vallarta I sat next to a man at the bar and he was an ex-pat living there for 3 years. Interesting man and we talked at length.
We are presently sailing along Vancouver Island on our way to Vancouver. About 800 Canadians are getting off and another 600 are getting on for a one night party cruise. This should be an interesting evening.
Goodbye to all until my Blog 3 for the Med and Black sea voyage next year.
